The interdisciplinary team with Michael Brecht (HU Berlin), Daphne Bavelier (Univ. de Genéve), Robert Gütig (Charité) and Dietmar Schmitz (Charité) will explore the question about what goes on in the brain during play. The researchers are particularly interested in how play contributes to learning processes in the brain. With a focus on learning through play, the large-scale study investigates learning mechanisms from the cellular level up to cognitive performance.
This year 27 applications (9%) of 295 reviewed applications were awarded with the funding of a maximum of 10 Mio € over six years. Congratulations!
