ERC consolidator grant für Susanne Schreiber and für Martin Rolfs/ERC consolidator grant for Susanne Schreiber and for Martin Rolfs

Susanne Schreiber was successful with her proposal on the research project "A new type of spike: Homoclinic spike generation in cells and networks".  She is chair of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience and FENS-Kavli Scholar. In her lab she investigates neural processing from single cells to networks.

Martin Rolfs sucessfully applied for his research project “How visual action shapes active vision”. He is Heisenberg Professor for Experimental Psychology. His research focuses on dynamic processes of visual perception and cognition in active observers.

This highly prestigious award will fund research in both labs for the next five years. The competition for an ERC consolidator grant is quite challenging. Only 12,3% of the applicants succeeded. The funding is part of the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
