Embodied Cognition
Theories of embodied cognition propose that perception is shaped by sensory stimuli and by the actions of the organism. This necessitates investigating cognition in rich environments, preferably the natural environment. Here I present experiments probing assumptions and testing predictions of current theories of embodied cognition. These address visual processing, multimodal integration, spatial cognition, sensory augmentation and morale decisions.
