Investigating Brain Circuit Structure and Dynamics: Experiments, Signal Processing, and Computational Modeling
I will present a few highlights of my current research on various fronts in neuroscience, emphasizing fundamental concepts rather than technical details. The highlights pertain to 1) signal processing: analyses of electroencephalograms and electrocardiograms; 2) electrophysiology: measurements of electrical activity in brain microcircuits; and 3) computational modeling: simulations of neural network dynamics and how it encodes sensory and motor information in the presence of physiological sources of noise.
