In December 2017 Martin Rolfs of the Bernstein Center Berlin (BCCN Berlin) has been appointed as Heisenberg Professor of Psychology at the Humboldt University Berlin. This is a decisive step in Rolfs' career. It is also a strong indicator for Berlin as an international hotspot in computational neuroscience.

On June 24, 2017, from 5 to 11 p.m., scientists of the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin (and the Interdisciplinary Center Computational Neuroscience) present their research to the general public in terms of presentations, a science slams (in English), 3 Bernstein TV movies in German and English, and an information booth.
During the BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK from March 13 to March 17, 2017 the BCCN Berlin organizes together with the Berlin School of Mind and Brain and several cooperation partners a number of events in Berlin.
The next Winter School "Ethics and Neuroscience" will take place from Feb 20-24, 2017 and is organised by the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin and the Berlin School of Mind and Brain.
