During the BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK from March 12 to March 17, 2018 the BCCN Berlin/ICCN organizes together with several cooperation partners a number of events in Berlin.

The 7th Winter School "Ethics and Neuroscience is taking place on February 19 - 23, 2018. It is organized by the BCCN Berlin/ICCN and the Berlin School of Mind and Brain. The event is tailored for MSc and PhD students, but covers a range of topics of potential interest to other researchers, reflecting on the ethical and societal consequences of modern neuroscience.

In December 2017 Martin Rolfs of the Bernstein Center Berlin (BCCN Berlin) has been appointed as Heisenberg Professor of Psychology at the Humboldt University Berlin. This is a decisive step in Rolfs' career. It is also a strong indicator for Berlin as an international hotspot in computational neuroscience.

The Bernstein Centre Berlin (BCCN Berlin) celebrates its consolidation and the inauguration of the Interdisciplinary Center Computational Neuroscience (ICCN) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

On October 11, 2017 we will celebrate the implementation of our new Interdisciplinary Center Computational Neuroscience (ICCN) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the sustainability of the BCCN Berlin.

Together with this opening symposium our Research Training Group GRK 1589 will organize the workshop "From Neurons to Behavior - Computing across scales".

On June 24, 2017, from 5 to 11 p.m., scientists of the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin (and the Interdisciplinary Center Computational Neuroscience) present their research to the general public in terms of presentations, a science slams (in English), 3 Bernstein TV movies in German and English, and an information booth.
